Notes
Through this hands-on and diverse program, you can choose to study from all primary fields of anthropology--archaeological, biological, cultural, and linguistic—learning first-hand from renowned experts and researchers. With a wide range of courses, specializations, and joint degree options, this program offers students plenty of opportunities to build career and research experience through immersive lab courses, archaeological field schools, and undergraduate research. This specialization is focused on understanding the human condition through both a biological and cultural lens in order to better understand why people look and behave the way they do. Archaeological remains of biological materials (humans, animals, and plants) can offer key insights into the ecology, culture, and lived experiences of people, animals, and communities in the past.
