Carleton University – Canada's Capital University
Carleton University is a dynamic and innovative university with a strong commitment to teaching, learning, research and student experience. Our academic programs, capital location, career focus and global possibilities provide countless opportunities for learning to happen both inside and outside of the classroom. At Carleton, we provide high quality postsecondary education to more than 31,000 full- and part-time students at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and our professors are nationally and internationally renowned for their scholarship and cutting-edge research.
We offer more than 100 undergraduate and graduate programs, a number of certificate and diploma programs, generous scholarships and plenty of opportunities to gain valuable hands-on practical experience through practicums, field work, work placements and co-op programs.
Ottawa is a city that matters. Our location in the Canada's capital allows students access to resources unavailable elsewhere in the country. The diverse student population is drawn from across Canada and around the globe. With more than 175 exchange partners in more than 35 countries, many of our students have been able to add a study-abroad component to their program.
Our beautiful riverside campus is only a short distance from Parliament Hill and a bustling downtown. The campus is well serviced by the city’s bus and light-rail system, and an extensive network of bicycle paths run alongside the campus grounds. As a self-contained community, we are easy to navigate and all of our campus facilities are connected via underground tunnels.
