Language Requirements for All Applicants

If you intend to study in an English-language program and English is not your first language or mother tongue, you should provide evidence of your English-language proficiency through one of the entry requirements or language tests.

Students may be exempt from a language test if their 3 most recent years of full-time education was taught in a setting where English is the language of instruction for 100% of the time (excluding language courses) either in Canada or another country. Moreover, a 4U English may be taken in the place of a test if you are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident who has successfully completed a 4U English and who meets all other entrance requirements.

Other Test Scores

Minimum Cambridge English Proficiency grade of C.

3 years of full-time, senior-level studies in an English-language high school or postsecondary institution (official documents required; evaluated on an individual basis; at the Admissions Committee's discretion).
